Why posture is the real issue

Magnification without light of matching quality is a false economy: as magnification rises, the field darkens. Coaxial LED illumination aligned with the line of sight eliminates shadowing inside cavities, and a cordless headlight removes the fibre-optic tether that restricts head movement.

Practical selection

Choose magnification for the finest task routinely performed rather than the most extreme one, verify working distance in the clinician's own posture, and confirm frame comfort and weight distribution — a loupe that is not worn provides no benefit.
