OVERVIEW
About this product
Platelet-rich plasma concentrates the patient's own platelets and the growth factors they release, delivering them directly to the tissue being treated. The clinical value of PRP depends heavily on preparation: platelet yield, leucocyte content and sterility all vary with technique.
The Rev-Med system uses a closed, single-use kit. Blood is drawn, spun in a standard centrifuge and separated within the device, so the plasma layer is never exposed to the room. This makes the concentration reproducible between operators and removes the open-tube pipetting step that carries the greatest contamination risk.
The workflow is point-of-care: preparation takes minutes in the treatment room, with no laboratory handling or sample transport, and the prepared PRP is injected during the same appointment.
FEATURES
Key features and benefits
Closed preparation
Separation occurs inside the device, minimising contamination risk and operator variability.
Reproducible concentration
A defined spin protocol delivers consistent platelet yield between operators and sessions.
Standard centrifuge
Works with a compatible bench centrifuge rather than requiring dedicated capital equipment.
Same-appointment treatment
Preparation and injection happen in one visit with no laboratory transfer.
CLINICAL USE
Applications and indications
Tendinopathy and joint injection
Started once the incision is fully closed to reduce the risk of hypertrophic scarring.
Chronic and post-surgical wounds
Softening, flattening and symptom relief in raised scars.
Aesthetic and dermatological use
Used alone or under pressure garments as part of a burns rehabilitation programme.
SPORTS MEDICINE AND TENDINOPATHY
WOUND HEALING
AESTHETIC APPLICATIONS
RANGERS
Available ranges
Novastem
Autologous cell concentration kit
Novastem is the higher-yield closed kit in the range, used where a concentrated autologous cell and growth-factor preparation is required. Blood is injected into the sealed tube, the buffy coat is adjusted through the internal float, the final volume is set and plasma is harvested — all without opening the tube to room air.

Four steps: inject blood, adjust buffy coat, set final volume, harvest plasma
